Any good 1911 shooter should be able to shoot 3" groups at 25 yards, right?
So, I tried shooting the '74 Commander at 25 yds. for the first time today.
The fading light is no excuse, either.
32 rounds, slow fire, offhand

Thanks, Sarge.MoJo wrote:Doc, Doc, Doc - - - your pics of your target are well within "one minute of bad guy" at 25 yards (75feet) unless he's actually shooting at you or charging with a edged weapon or striking weapon shooting someone at that distance would be reeeeal hard to justify.
Good shootin' by the way keep it up!
I couldn't even see the "A" at 25 yards, and I'd be happy with hitting the target "COM." The most accurate pistol I own is a Model 29 revolver. I can hit a pig silhouette at 100 yards with it, but I can't tell you for sure where I would hit it.doc540 wrote:Yes, a young buck has shot the old Commander and drove nails with it.
Those three hits on the "A" tell me it can, indeed, be done.
