friend looking in DFW

#1

Post by wgoforth »

I have a friend looking for a decent small pocketable gun for under $300. He is a lefty, so he needs either no safety or a possible ambi safety. He does like the LCP but considering other options too. He lives in Fort Worth and would prefer buying in the DFW area.

For 'new' at that price point, I think the only 'decent' options are the LCP or TCP, unless your friend would go with used. Maybe an LC9 or KelTec P-11?? I think the sale was over a couple weeks ago, but CTD had the TCP for $199. I almost got one, but its just too small for my hand. If 'friend' is not in a hurry, keep an eye on CTD and maybe the Black Friday sales. Good luck.

Thanks... he isn't in a hurry and used would be fine too.

Too bad I didn't see this earlier, I just sold my Taurus Pt738 tcp for $190 with everything they come with new. Had only 62 rounds through it. Just didn't fit my hand well.
They are great little CCWs.
How small does your friend need, would a small 2' revolver work? Always options to look towards.

Just FYI, if you are military/ex military/law enforcement, you can buy S&W Bodyguard .380 brand new in box at GT Distributers for $286 dollars. Keltecs and other pocketable .380's can be had for under $250 there.
