Bet NeverWet lasts longer, tho. Website here: http://www.neverwet.com/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It sounds pretty amazing. Googled for more info, didn't find much, mostly repeats of the same vid & story.

That's cool. It says Ice resistant. I wonder how well that works.

Wow where was this stuff when I was in the Infantry. Nothing worse than a wet ruck. Those wet weather bags didn't work worth a lick.

That, glasses, helmet visors, windshields, and car windows. RainX is nice, but it wears off after a while.

Oh, and electronics. Maybe my dream of waterproof gizmos won't have to wait for photonic circuitry after all.

I've googled around trying to find out more about the properties of this stuff, but didn't come up with too much. It has been through some saltwater and abrasion tests, and apparently did well; I also read that it loses its water repellency when hit with alcohol or soap (and gains it back after those are gone) but I wouldn't count that as a fact yet, it was just some comments in another forum's thread.

Pretty cool tho. Would like to spray my gun and knives with it and see how it does for corrosion resistance.

And my winter felt hat.

I'm wondering how bullet ballistics would be affected by having the bullet and/or the barrel impregnated with it.

If water "shoots off it" ... could you shoot water bullets? :headscratch

Oops, never mind. I was thinking it was the same thing as some new super slippery substance I recently read about. My bad :oops:
