This is the part that really interested me. I used to ride quite a bit...and am wondering if the bikers were almost run over by the CHL tools wife in the parking lot. There has to be more to the story. I am wondering what it was and why it was even in the story. If the CHL tool mentioned it, I have to assume there is much much more to the story.lws380 wrote: He said he was at a big box store and in the check out with his wife. Re: Interesting story at the range today
They were in the check out lane and I'm guessing the "female dog" was being a little agressive with her cart or maybe bumped them. No talk of parking lot. Maybe they crossed paths in the store and happened to get to the same check out area. You know how curteous everyone acts with carts in stores!Shinesintx wrote:This is the part that really interested me. Re: Interesting story at the range today
This story does sound like some bragging to me, maybe a story with some truth that got embellished (and probably will get more embellished as time goes by). The kernel of truth may have been many things, as some pointed out here already. Most of the time, people popping off with foul language is just them "venting", and leads to a whole lot of 'nuthin'. However, it CAN be someone "getting their courage up" before they do something, too. In that case, body language would have some play in the situation and how you react. The braggart in the story certainly did NOT do the right thing, though. I would have backed up a little and ignored it, or maybe even changed checkout lanes. Even if biker dude started something, even if you are a "quick draw" and beat 'em to the punch, its still going to cost you some money, at minimum and perhaps a whole lot more if you are unlucky, though justified. Anyway, thanks for posting the story.

There is more to the story here. In any event, I can't agree with the CHLer 'Barney Fifeing' the biker dude for his language.Shinesintx wrote:This is the part that really interested me. I agree with you whole heartily...I just happen to think the CHL tool was dumber than the story made him appear.Rocstar wrote:There is more to the story here. Re: Interesting story at the range today
I am a "big biker dude" (6'4" and 260lbs) and would have laughed at him and offered to show him my CHL too (mines better than yours nana nana).
On a serious note, seems like if you ride a bike and wear "leathers", you are supposed to be some bad biker dude. However, not all of us are outlaw bikers. I have a little story but may post it in a seperate thread as not to hijack this thread.
