Patience. The thing is, it will get to you as long as you meet all of the criteria. I know it seems forever...but it will show up in your mailbox. Mine did last May, and now it seems like the wait was nothing, and it also seems like carrying is completely second nature.

This is the second best part of your experience, and the best part is seeing that envelope. Past that point, you put on a very heavy robe of responsibility that literally changes your life. You know you can now carry most everywhere, and you know you have the capacity to end a life at almost any given time...really, that is not as much fun as waiting for your license, or getting it in the mail.

Seems so. I got another update this morning, so you may want to check on your's as well.

Craig8d8 wrote:Lucky guys!!! Mine has been "under review" since 10/26. Not to mention that my friend that mailed hers 5 days after I mailed mine said yesterday that hers was "mailed"!! Her bg check and manufacturing took two days!!!
Mine actually took a while, I called the state and inquired about it, what they had told me was since I had my fingerprints taken before, that actually delayed the process. When I was in high school I was going to join the Army and had my fingerprints taken then for a background check. It came up as a hit on the FBI and a technician had to dig in deeper and wait until that came back cleared.

yeah, i have a TS Clearance and have had to renew it once for the Army and had one done for my civilian job in 2010. and when they do the review it just shows as an FBI Inquiry, which always comes back as negative, but the process takes longer every time i get one done. I wish they'd just check JPAS and see my clearance....make things easier and cheaper in the long run

I know what you mean. I checked first thing this morning, full well knowing that I wouldn't see an update on a Sunday morning. But I checked all the same.

I feel you. It is a compulsion to check when I wake up, even on a Sunday. Stranger things have happened...

I checked mine on Sunday morning; after church; early, mid, and late afternoon; early and late evening; and at night before I went to bed! And still never got a dog-gone update on a Sunday!

Even with the wait, it will be here before you know it.

And welcome to all of the new members! :txflag: Lots of good reading here to keep you occupied while you wait...

I only checked four times today. Primarily because we had an Internet outage at the office that kept me from checking any more.
