I'm not a huge zombie fan, but I've come to appreciate the genre more recently - in no small part due to the two works you listed above and the book "World War Z" .... my fear now is that with Brad Pitt signed on to do the movie version of WWZ - which ideally would be a pseudo documentary and not a Hollywood action movie - WWZ will be lessened or even ruined for those who haven't read the book - which is amazing in its epic scope.glock27 wrote:saw the thread on the zombie ammo from hornaday. very funny and cheesey.
im a big zombie film fan. last night i watched the series the walking dead to prepare myself via netflix for sundays second season premier. just wanted a list of yals favorite zombie movies new and old so i can add them to my queue.
my all time favorite is
1. 28days later
2. walking dead series
ive seen many more but these stick out the most
I guess the only other zombie story I liked a bit was "Shaun of the Dead" which is good low-brow comedy. Never could get into the George Romero films - slow-moving, dumb monsters don't really scare me. Even the zombies of Walking Dead somehow seem a bit more intimidating than the dim-witted meat puppets of the Romero films.
28 Days Later is amazing with the addition of animalistic speed and rage to the zombie - truly frightening concept. The sequal wasn't as good, but was still better than most zombie fiction.
