Obama's Jobs Speech

#1

Post by Dave2 »

I think he said his jobs stimulus plan is to scrap the US Constitution:
Obama wrote:What kind of country would this be if this Chamber had voted down Social Security or Medicare just because it violated some rigid idea about what government could or could not do?

Quotes like that are exactly why we need to work hard to make sure he is a one term President.

Social Security INSURANCE started out well, but Insurers are regulated a bit better with how many policies they casn sell versus $ in Reserves for claims.

If someone stole from the reserves, they'd get in trouble.

I made productive use of that time; went grocery shopping .... do we get a new czar yet?
He tells Gibson to not use American labor
He appoints a Jobs czar who heads GE
GE sends jobs to China
I'm sure he has the answer to the problems he's creating

I had a fairly quick response when I heard him say America couldn't wait another 14 months to make something happen. My first thought was dang right, so quit now. But America's waited 3 years now, so what's 14 months going to hurt? It really started to sound like he knows what his fate is after the next election.

That is exactly the thinking of a narcissist who will try to knock down anything that proposes to prevent his schemes. Ego-centric thinking distorts the narcissist's perceptions.

You are right about. It was a Ponzi scheme from the beginning

The penalty paid for the SS mess is the same as the penalty that will be paid for the sub-prime mortgage mess and the culprits in both cases were from the same group.

And everyone keeps saying "don't worry about the 2nd Amendment", they wouldn't dare touch it." Right. They've bypassed most of the rest of the Constitution and I'm not optimistic that they don't have a way up their sleeves for 2A, too.

I think this summarizes his speech nicely: http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2 ... eeches.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I don't fear guns; I fear voters and politicians that fear guns.

Did anyone else's head start itching when the face of this administration started talking about all the roads and bridges he wants to build . . . but the same administration is doing all it can to block the ability to drill for the oil that would power the cars and trucks that would be driving on those roads and bridges?

This is the same kind of stupidity that required the EPA to trade in all their gas burning vehicles for electric vehicles. They soon found out that the regulation passed years ago requiring the EPA to reduce their electricity useage by 2% per year had left the EPA buildings incapable of providing the power to recharge those vehicles.

Apparently the market didn't like his speech. Market's been open for 45 minutes, and the DOW's down 177 points (1.6 %) :mad5

Head itching--I had to go into the other room lest I get hives from over exposure to the same nonsense again and again. My husband wanted to listen and if I had stayed I would have just ranted back at the TV.
