That's great! Your title is a little misleading though. You still have to wait for the mail ;-)

Your right of course, I feel like I've won the battle! I should have never had to go through this. I carried for eight years previously.
My first application sailed through as did my renewal. When my 2nd renewal came due I was sick and couldn't go through the
renewal process. When I was healed enough I had to start all over. For some reason this application crawled through the process.
I'm just very happy, now that I've cleared the big hurdle!! :woohoo :txflag:
Kind Regards,
Charlie

:thewave :woohoo Well the wait is really over. The CHL finally arrived in the mail today!
Sadly it took so long I had to turn right around and change the address. We moved since
the process started, I didn't want to take a chance of causing the process to be longer. So it cost me
$14.50 for the change of address, but it's all done now! :anamatedbanana
Kind Regards,
Charlie

Congratulations, and thanks for giving me new hope ... I sent my stuff in in early July -- DPS said it officially arrived on the 15th, though -- and my application as been stuck on "background review" for weeks.

I keep seeing applications that sail through in a couple of weeks, and started wondering whether something was wrong. I feel much better now (but I still want my CHL!)

best,
Mike

Mike, my update stayed on Background check under review, for the full 60 days. If that does happen to you, call them at 60 days, they will move it out of under review. I had my license in a week. Hopefully, you won't get stuck like I did! :thumbs2:
Kind Regards,
Charlie

Txcatlady30,

Great to hear it! A special feeling that someone who does not carry can not understand. As far as being in a new room now, don't forget this one. It is nice to come back, cheer people on, offer advice, and offer congratulations. I like to live vicariously, through my fellow forum members, and re-experience that joy of getting that envelope in the mail.

Wally Walk...and pictures! Be nice to see how a lady does it.

Nope I got nothing as well. I am thinking about calling soon just to poke around and maybe it will get things moving.
