1st LEO Contact since CHL

Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

1st LEO Contact since CHL

Well somehow in 8 years of driving, I have never gotten a ticket NOR even been pulled over. That streak ended a couple nights ago when I saw a College Station PD unit close behind me at about 2315. Just as I thought "hes really close to me, just how I see them when they're about to pull someone else over", he lights me up. Completely caught off guard, I pulled over to the right on this 40 mph road instead of turning left into the nice big empty parking lots right there...oops! The officer approached me and very "friendlily" told me why I was being pulled over...I was driving with only my parking lights on! Out of habit, when I'm pulled up to a store window or a wall, I back out with my parking lights on so as not to blind myself or patrons, and this time I forgot to turn them completely on, doh! He also immediately told me it was going to be a warning and asked for my ID and whatnot. I gave him DL and CHL and insurance but informed him I was NOT carrying (very rare for me...I was just going to campus for a second then back...still should have been carrying) and he said "EMT?" (I guess in reference to the sticker on my rear winder) and I said "Yessir, EMT and firefighter for <insert my department here>" and he said "excellent. I'll be right back". He came back and gave me my warning and told me to be safe out there, I returned pleasantries and on my way I went. He also told me toward the beginning that next time I might want to pull over to the parking lots, lol.

Anywho, very harmless traffic stop but great interaction from CSPD nonetheless! I have a lot of interaction with Texas A&M University PD, Brazos County SO and Texas DPS, but not a whole lot with CSPD so props to this very professional officer.
