"rlol"
20 days or so from DPS receipt to mailed and you are gray from waiting? "rlol"

Mine was 30 days or so and I had it easy, those 2 years ago and further were 3-6 months and more

Mailed my paperwork on Aug 6. Background check to green (completed), manufacturing pending, on Friday Aug 19. Just checked again, wow it's been mailed. I sure didn't expect it to move this fast.

We went by academy sports today. My wife said she had to leave the gun sales area because now she can't stop looking at people behinds to see if they are carrying. She spotted two guys carrying. Had a good chuckle.

I caught myself doing the same thing at the mall today. I saw a few protrusions, but nothing I could make out as a gun.

These folks have great prices for LEO's and veterans.
Got there around 10am Deacon. The gun counter was busy and they moved some guns out while I was there too. Picked up a Glock 27 Gen 4. Loved the feel of the Glock 23 but that is still a pretty good sized gun to conceal. With the mag extension you can get 10 rounds in the mag of the 27 (yeah right). I just stuck 9 in there and called it good. Picked up a De Santis Tuck This II IWB holster too.

They received your final materials on 8/3. It is happening quickly, just a little more patience.

I promise it will. It is an incredible feeling to get that envelope in the mail. No real fanfare, just a card attached to a thick sheet of paper. You put it in your wallet, put a gun on your hip, and you go legally where you could not go before. It is an awesome feeling to know your chances of survival, should it hit the fan, just went up. It is completely reassuring to know you have a new dimension of protection available to your family.

I know it is silly that we have to jump through hoops to be able to exercise our rights, but it is also kind of neat to know we can do what so many other people can not.

Good deal Wfahey. Do you like the DE Santis better than crossbreed?

Well, I liked the price better. ;-) The De Santis is real comfortable and very well concealed at the 2 o'clock position but not so much at the 3:30/4:00 position. I thought it was more obvious and interfered with my billfold too. I would still like to try a Crossbreed.

Heading to BPS' range today. Going to fire the same as the CHL requires for qualification to see how I do with the G27.

As soon as I find the memory card for the camera I will post them in the EDC thread.
