Poor Dad! I imagine I would have gotten beat for that too. He did not injure the kids, just roughed them up a bit, scared them a little. It was his house they were in without his permission. Perhaps if the other parents has said "What the devil were you doing in that girls house naked?" rather than calling the cops, the young gentlemen could have learned from this experience that playing with girls has risks. Not least of all is an angry father.

I have no daughters. Probably a good thing. I have two boys that were always taught to respect women. Not having any experience with daughters, I feel as though I would have shot the boys. And I would be sorry.... eventually.

Now Mr. Gooden happens to be the kind of dad who carries a pistol in a holster on his hip--so naturally that came out.

My goodness, I believe that at the least I would have called the cops. Just don't know who you're dealing with when parents are involved.

There are worse labels out there. There is nothing wrong with being the kind of dad who "wears a holster around the house"...at least my kids could attest to

Growing up, my brother and I were taught same values to respect women. Heck my parents would have been the ones to shoot me if I would have pulled that stunt at a girlfriend's house or anywhere else for that matter! Actually my father was a Preacher, so I would have incurred bigger wrath than a beating! I would have received a sermon! "rlol"

True but then this is media from Seattle! I would have liked for this story to happen in Texas :txflag: I'm sure the media coverage and people's reaction would be very different here in Texas! As far as I know, men, boys, sons, here in Texas are taught to respect women. Am I wrong on this?

I don't have kids, but God help me if I have a daughter or son who pull this kind of stunt! :rules:

Wrong, wrong , wrong!!!

As wrong as the boys and his daughter were, they weren't doing anything that deserved a beating when he caught them. I do have a daughter and I don't think she will ever put me in this situation. I hope! However, is she did and caught them just as this father did I hope I do not do anything more than call the boys parents. I don't even think I would call the police. I have seriously failed if my daughter ever does this to me.

IMO, not only would all around beatings be warranted, but a mandatory 6 month sentence as a designated diaper changer would be appropriate as well.

Now, if I had caught them in the middle of something ... all bets are off and I think I would be justified.

I have 4 daughters and whenever one would bring a boy home I would always be cleaning a gun of some sort.

You all are a bunch of old timers. Today's young woman doesn't want respect, she want to be entertained. That's why there was two naked boys

As the Father of both a daughter and son, I can say that boys were lucky not to be thrown out of the house butt-naked. If my son came home and told me the story those boys told their fathers, I can bet I would have wanted to tan his hide.

I believe the girl's father wanted to scare them and pulled his gun from his holster. I can only hope that he really did not point it at the boys but who knows?

Someone who actually respects women would believe the daughter is equally responsible for the situation.

Whew, at least one voice of sanity and logic. It wasn't rape or assault, thus, the girl was a participant, not a victim, so where was the "defending" part? Old as I am I guess I'm not old school enough accept the notion that only males are responsible for their behavior.
