August 2011 Applications
New to forum. Just mailed my required information in 8-5-11. I did not find one by searching so I guess I will start the August waiting thread. Now the waiting begins.

Welcome! I am in the august clan too. Doing my prints today and dps received my packet yesterday.

Cool, Thanks for the welcome. It will be good to have some company while waiting. I plan on passing the time by looking for a new ccw and holster etc.

Ok now tell me the truth, have you already checked your status? I have, and I aint afraid to admit it. 
Just got done finger printing, and the guy at L1 says it will take until Friday for DPS to get the prints?

The August club is here. I must admit, I check daily for 
updates. It seems it takes DPS about two weeks after the first update. I also call them everyday. I am so anxious. I am looking at the ruger LCP for everyday carry and backup to the G26.

I think I am also part of the August class even though I took the CHL class 7/31. Paperwork didn't get mailed off until Aug 2.
I was amazed the background check only took 2 days but "manufacturing" of the license has been going on for close to a week now. I have one of those employers that won't even allow a weapon in the car in the parking lot so there isn't much I can do until Sept 1 anyway.

I just got Plastic yesterday (18 days mailbox to mailbox) so you guys shouldn't have to wait too long. Congrats!
