HAZMAT

Post by too-tall »

I took the first class for my CHL. They lost my papers so I had to wait a couple of weeks longer bthan my buddy. I have renewed them three or four times since then with no problems. However, I applied for my Hazmat endorsement on my CDL'slast September. Its been six months and I havent heard anything yet. DPS said sometimes it takes awhile. I have passed the back-ground checks four times already, but now????
I would have thought since I was alreadt in the system, it would be a snap to get the results back. I guess not.

DPS has several divisions. The CHL backgrounds are completed by a different section than CDL's. It is a separate and independent process. Your CHL checks will have no bearing on the CDL.

Don't feel bad. Its the same for the Private Security Bureau of DPS. A PSB license makes no difference to getting a CHL.

Not the model of efficiency, is it?

Unfortunately, you just can't take your business elsewhere.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.
