Re: Riots in London
The anti gun police got in a shoot out with a car they stopped. The person stopped was killed by the special armed police unit. In the gunfight, one officer was shot in the radio.
One of the BG family said "he was into things, but he wasn't violent".
The family organized a anti anti gun police protest to demand justice for their son. It has turned violent with many people injured (including amateur videographers filming the riot) and lots of looting. People were seen bringing shopping carts to the riot.
Since guns are outlawed in England the rioters were left with just gasoline bombs, picks, knives and axes to riot with. In the last riots in this part of London, the chief of police was stabbed to death.

Its so much safer for everyone in a country where guns are outlawed and the police don't even have them.

When citizens can't defend themselves with guns, whoever is biggest, strongest, or brings the most buddies gets to make the rules.
Sounds like a terrible idea to me.

Re: Riots in London
The rioting is spreading all over parts of London. It started in just Tottenham, where police got in a shoot out and one person was killed and the family protested.
Now they are listing all sorts of little suburbs of London where the rioting is happening. Hackney, Lewisham, Peckham, Croydon, Clapham Junction and Birmingham.
Seems profit now is the motivation.
The small shop owners have no means to stop it. People are complaining that there are no police anywhere. I would suspect the unarmed police are reluctant to go into uncontrolled areas without overwhelming force.
London will be welcoming the Olympics next year, one person remarked they were glad it wasn't this year.
As the economies of the world continue to decline, should we expect to see more and more of this?

It's the entitlement mentality. What's the difference, really, between having the government give them wealth taken from small businesses and workers, and taking it for themselves?
When in doubt

Re: Riots in London
From the BBC -
For residents and shopkeepers, it sounds like one must curl up and hide until the rioters are done and then hope someone gets prosecuted later based on a picture. The Met Police release the first images of suspects as part of Operation Withern, the investigation into the serious disorder and violence that has been affecting parts of London. Commander Simon Foy says: "Those who have or intend to go out and commit violent, criminal acts should be warned. We will have photographs and evidence that we will use to identify you and bring you to justice."

The first step to anarchy is to disarm the law abiding citizens. This is a lesson we never seem to learn.

Re: Riots in London
I just got online this AM, found a bunch of messages from my single-lady friend in Australia who I've known 11 or 12 years; She was stalked by a muslim there a while who threatened her (She's also a USA citizen, lived in Virginia Beach Virginia, her dad trained in military in Corpus Christi TX) but she is Aussie born and her family is there and that's where she wants to be .... but less and less as the new PM wants to close all the churches and become more communist or socialist or something. She's a real lady type Doctor of Psychology, and teaches part time at University, (meaning even the word "crap" offends her, lady-about 35-ish years old now, and holding; 2 deceased husbands, last one was American military, Navy, killed by helicopter just after exiting service and starting to work for another govt agency ... I knew him)
she:
the looters in england are breaking into womens flats and raping them
this is like world war 11 aGAIN
england is burning
london, liverpool newcastle manchester its horrible
we are down like wall st.
From Tripoli to Syria they are invading banks
me:
good thing they banned guns in the UK so the ladies are defenselss (sarcasm)
Otherwise those "gun deaths" caused by guns (against rapists) would increase (more sarcasm)
Typically, males like guns better than females, but more and more (2 gun stores near here owned by girls/ women who know more about military weapons than I do) you see women with guns
they get out and shoot army type weapons ladies do nowadays
they'd defend house with AK-47
pardon the explicitness, but when a rapist has a lady put a pistol to his head, it probably becomes difficult for him to "continue"

Wow the photos look like the blitz in world war II.
Way at the bottom there is this building way out in the country that is burning. It is the Sony distribution facility for England.
I guess robbing little shops in the city is chicken feed next to that.
Don't view this one, its racist propaganda and should have never been printed.

A certain segement of society has been taught they can take what they want whenever they want with impunity. From these London riots to Katrina NOLA to the Wisconsin State fair beatings to the latest rash of "flash mob" events.
We all need to remember things can go to heck at the drop of a Rodney King. At least we have the ability to defend ourselves here in TX. Stay ready!

It amazes me how backwards he has it. I guess it proves that you can use anything that you want as justification for your actions."This is the uprising of the working class. We're redistributing the wealth," said Bryn Phillips, a 28-year-old self-described anarchist, as young people emerged from the store with chocolate bars and ice cream cones. Phillips claimed rioters were motivated by distrust of the police, and drew a link between the rage on London's street and insurgent right-wing politics in the United States. "In America you have the tea party, in England you've got this," he said.

AndyC wrote:Somebody needs her head read - and I gotta love how those who are just trying to protect their businesses despite police failures are labeled "vigilantes".Vigilantes were forced onto the streets last night to protect their homes and businesses after police failed to materialise at many of the scenes of looting and violence which swept across London.
As officers lost control of the streets locals were forced to take the law into their own hands, arming themselves with sticks and chasing looters away from their properties.
In Dalston and Hackney, north-east London, Turkish shopkeepers and their families fought back against looting youths, before spending the night standing shoulder-to-shoulder in an attempt to deter further attacks.
One man said: 'This is Turkish Kurdish area. They come to our shops and we fight them with sticks.'
Despite increasing calls for the police to get tough with the rioters, Home Secretary Theresa May today sparked anger as she appeared to dismiss the notions that water cannons and even the Army could be used to ensure violent scenes are not repeated tonight.
As police were slammed for appearing to let looters run riot under their noses, Mrs May instead advocated a more softly-softly approach.
She said: 'The way we police in Britain is not through use of water cannon. The way we police in Britain is through consent of communities.'

This is exactly what the collectivists want....they're reveling in it, and they're deliberately letting it happen. Some commenters after these articles note that they don't have any problem policing with water cannons in Northern Ireland. The UK and what is happening there is exactly what our collectivists want for us here. First, make everyone helpless --and not just by taking away their guns, but by taking away even the idea of resistance and self-defense; then let the thugs have their way. Oh, and btw, the US media has been calling people who defend themselves "vigilantes" since the 70's. Since I assume that "reporters" and "editors" had access to dictionaries even back then, their use of the word constitutes a deliberate lie.
