on the front door. I had to leave my gun in the truck.
Are a lot of kid places posted? I never gave it a thought until today.

The one I went to was in Selma, Texas. The sign was kind of small and I did not have time to really scrutinize it. I hadRussell wrote:Chuck E. Cheese's is a top offender for 30.06 signs. See the "Wall of Shame" at the top of texas3006.com.
Add it! Won't be on the list until someone adds it. (Just looked, no Selma Chuck-E-Cheese).RockingRook wrote:The one I went to was in Selma, Texas. my grand kids so I just left the gun in the car.
The Wall of Shame say there are 12 locations do not know if Selma was one of them but since I saw the sign I thought it
best to just comply.
The sign looked legal but even so I really would not like to challenge the sign when my grand kids are with me for a good time.

Ya, I'm confused on the angle Chuck-E-Cheese is going with this. Someone did the research and got the wording 100%, but didn't do the 1" per the law. Why do one thing and not the other? They trying to act like they don't want a CHL or they really don't want a CHL?johnson0317 wrote:I hate to use the cliche, "concealed is concealed"...so I won't. If you recognize the sign as not being legal, and if you know how to carry, then I do not see too much risk here. I guess the poor, slob teen-ager in the mouse suit might frisk you...but probably not.

It would only protect me against civil suit from the criminal or his family as I understand it.rm9792 wrote:if it is a good shoot the Castle Doctrine should stop a civil suit. Also, Chuckie coming after you for a simple trespassing charge is the least of your concerns.
I just saw the one in Garland is posted for the first time since I have taken the kids for the last few years.RockingRook wrote:I took my grand kids to Chuck-E-Cheese this morning and was kind of surprised they had a 30.06 sign

Who's going to protect you from the screaming, screeching, wailing mini-terrorists (and their mommas) who Chuckee caters to?Scott in Houston wrote:It would only protect me against civil suit from the criminal or his family as I understand it.rm9792 wrote:if it is a good shoot the Castle Doctrine should stop a civil suit. Chuck could sue for any number of things... not just trespassing.
I agree completely. Some people don't think we have enough 'bargaining power' as a group to effect this type of change - but I disagree. If enough of us let them know there are losing business, change can happen. There have already been a few example of this working - albeit with smaller local companies.RockingRook wrote:I do not think McDonald's is posted yet. The way to challenge those "chain establishments" is to do it "en mass."
I still do not think it will do any good but maybe the threat of losing business might work.
