Tensions are rising at the site of a confrontation this morning which left one man dead and two Kilgore police officers stabbed.

A younger brother of Jamel Joseph Freeman, who was killed this morning, tried to get through a police line and into the home where the incident occurred, but police stopped him. A shouting match between police and family members ensued.

Wow, that is horrible news. Any news on the LEO's conditions?

Per capita, it sounds like Dallas is safer. :smilelol5:

"Non-life-threatening injuries"

Sounds to me like the LEO's were a bit too slow to take him down.
A 47-YO female officer, alone, trying to subdue a 19-YO male with a knife? :fire

Makes me wonder if the LEO knew the deceased.

Why would having 2 offices out require other area PDs to lend people? Is Kilgore PD that small?

Kilgore's population = 12,975 per the 2010 census.

So if 2 officers are out on medical leave, that may severely impact a small PD.

Sure auntie, we'll shoot low at a small target while we are being attacked by someone with a knife "sarcasm". Where is the knee on shooting targets? Is it the 10 ring or am I just missing it?
