Concealed with a tucked-in shirt

I confess to a visualisation failure here. Assuming IWB carry - how do you manage to tuck a shirt in around the gun/holster and not have it show?

Clearly I'm missing something here. Can someone take pity on me and explain :-)

I use a holster full moon for my Sig P220 w/rail. My shirt tucks in front of my holster but behind the kydex clips that hold it to my belt.

you have to have a "tuckable" style of IWB holster: like a crossbreed supertuck, an mtac comptac, kingtuck, etc. They are designed to allow you to tuck your shirt between the clips and your waitband/belt..... I wear a tucked in dress shirt and tie M-F and have been carrying 24/7 for the last 4 months or so and no one has been the wiser...

Just don't expect to wear highly fitted shirts in a parade-attire tight tuck. A relaxed tuck and little blousing is your friend.

As mentioned above, you'll want a "tuckable" IWB holster. I've used the Supertuck, DeSantis, and more recently the Texas Tucker (made by forum member BigPa here in TX). I'm 6'3" 275lb and have no problems with the IWB option. I do have to roll the tail of my XXLT shirts just a bit to tuck in neatly, but it works just fine.

I wear this daily, have for over a year, however I wear at 3:00 now. I use the same holster system for my XD-45 and my Glock 26 and Glock 19n ... I like the extra mag pouch, which isn't perfect, but better than none in several ways; it help[s hold position of the cant, helps round out the belt instead of a void near the thick slide etc


Except on Sundays, I wear a hybrid holster with Velcro clips (and they attach to velcro sewn inside my belt) Crossbreed, Comptac and some others offer this velcro system, (I don't like clips on top of my belt showing, I prefer clips under the belt) I prefer the Comptac belt, with any of these holsters. I believe the one in the video below is a Crossbred or Beltman belt, but Comptac offers on the same belt Velcro AND kydex reinforcement.... which I really like

the tuckable feature is specific for that type of carry

it is an iwb with either tabs or clips that allow your shirt to be tucked in

I carry an SR9c every day. I can't carry at work, but often will pop by the house after work and pick up the gun then go run errands. I dress business casual, so slacks and a button down shirt tucked in. I wear a Galco King Tuck holster every day, and it conceals my gun GREAT in every outfit, but I'm very impressed by how well it conceals with a tucked shirt. I think it almost conceals a little better when a shirt is tucked around it. You tuck it in, blouse it out a little, and you're good to go.

I went to Best Buy and Target yesterday with shorts and a t-shirt tucked into my Tucker with my XD9 SC. The only thing that gives it away to the educated looker is the clips. I think I'm going to get some J-clips to add to the Tucker.

Thank you for your video review. It convinced me the Crossbreed Supertuck was a lot better that what I had been using as a tuckable. So I ordered one in horsehide. I wear a suit, white shirt and tie every day. This will be so much more comfortable when I don't have the suit coat on - most of the time. Now I just have to be patient for about 4-6 weeks!!!

No prob man, glad to be able to help others out. I, too, was concerned with how I was going to able to carry at work with my dress code, but I can tell you that for the last 6 months, no one has been the wiser. Only prob is that light colored shirts tend to allow the underlying black color of the grip to be slightly visible. I dont ever wear white, but I have had to give up on my yellow and light pink

I had some C-clips which were too tight once I made into J clips, I like J-clips :)
