Anyone owns a S&W 4506? How do you like it?

Saw it in a movie recently, made me curious and I looked it up. Just wondering what you guys think of it.

I have a 4506 along with its compact smaller brother, the 457. Used the 4506 for competition and loved it. Carried the 457 for my daily carry. I never had any failures to fire or feed with them and they were a pleasure to shoot. It has a long first DA trigger pull (~10#) and even the follow on SA pull is long, but I liked it better than the SIG 220 which I was considering at the same time.
I developed arthritis in my hands pretty bad so I eventually limited my use of the S&W's and switched to Glocks for their lighter trigger pull, but I really enjoyed my TDA S&W's

I bought my 4506 in 1987. Carried it every day for 12 years. It never failed to go bang, and I'd bet my life on it today. One extra nice thing, you can carry it with a round in the chamber, safety off, and hammer down. +1 on that long double action trigger. At 39ozs empty it would become a pain after a days work and an extra job or two. If it has the curved grip you can order a straight grip from the later 1006, 10mm, its the same frame. I never liked ergonomic grips.

We used to use those at work. I'm so glad they got rid of them. I had an extractor break on mine only three rounds into a mag. (first mag of the day) A friend of mine had his go down and had to finish his course with mine. We called those things a boat anchor. They carry few rounds and weigh a ton. However, the one I had did have a nice trigger. It was lighter than an HK USP on double action but the single action was heavier than the USPs single action. It was smooth and I can't remember any issues with over travel or reset. however, I wouldn't trust my life to one after seeing some of the issues we had.

We finally got rid of them do to the lack of parts availability since SW no longer makes them.
