Post by seamusTX »

In Sugar Land June 10 a man assaulted a 75-year-old man and 66-year-old woman in their garage. The assailant fled without stealing anything or giving any reason for the assault.

The suspect is described as "white, Hispanic or Arab in his late 20s. He is 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighs about 185 pounds." Police released a composite sketch.

Maybe Elijah Wood is tired of mere acting and has switched to acting out?

Elijah Wood looks quite a bit different now. The Lord of the Rings was made, what, 10 years ago?

The first one was in 2001. Elijah Wood was 20 then. He looks majorly different. Here's a recent photo

white, Hispanic or Arab

That narrows it down a little bit. Who does that eliminate? Native Americans, African Americans, Orientals,...who am I missing?

I found his daddy. I think they might even be wearing the same shirt.

Australian aborigines and south Pacific island natives.

Orientals is not politically correct. You're supposed to call them east Asians or south Asians now.

That attack was literally less than 600 yards from my parents' house. My dad has been on the fence about a CHL, this should push him over it I think.

Having a CHL is great, having a pistol on your hip is better, but situational awareness is priceless.

Open attached garages are almost like pulling your front door off the hinges and letting in the crooks. One of the well-known M.O.s of robbers is to wait for a homeowner to open the door with a remote and then rush in.

I have no idea what went on in this case. I suspect the assailant thought he could rob the defenseless old people, then realized that he had just bought himself 5-99 of hard time.

These people lived in town homes known for having mostly retired folks. It's very close quartered and is a bad area to attack people if you're a crook. He likely got spooked by a neighbor or something too.

The subdivision next door has mostly detached garages.
