In League City Sunday a 19-year-old resident was the intended victim of an assault and apparent attempted kidnapping.
According to police, two men confronted the victim in the 1700 block of FM 528 around 10:42 p.m. (Probably this is a mistake. 1700 FM 528 is in Webster. Probably it should be 1700 FM 518).
One assailant had a rag soaked in an unknown chemical. The other had a knife. They attempted to stuff the rag in the victim's mouth and stab him. He fought them off while a neighbor came to investigate. Then the assailants fled.
They were described as Hispanic men in their early 20s with shaved heads and wore Dickies pants and button-down shirts.
The victim told police he did not know the assailants. No motive is known. He was slightly injured and drove himself to the hospital for treatment.

I'm afraid you asked the wrong person. I think gang initiation is an urban legend.
If that sort of thing occurs at all, it would more likely be an order to kill or beat someone who has run afoul of the gang.
The description of the guys with Dickies pants and button-down shirts is really the strangest aspect. That sounds like a work uniform, not gang paraphernalia.
I don't know what to think of this incident.

That sounds like Hispanic banger attire to me.seamusTX wrote:
