notary question

I am assuming that being an instructor you will have to be a notary to. Is this true? And can you do notary on your own classes?

Online apps do not require a notary, but there would be no problem notarizing docs for your own class.
We're all here 'cause we're not all there.

There was another thread in the instructor section about being a notory. I'd try and find it for you but I'm posting from my phone. The consensus was most instructors hardly ever have to do the notorizing any more because almost everyone applies online and the affidavits are signed electronically.

I believe Crossfire posted a link in that other thread to a place you can get setup as a notory for a reasonable fee if you want to pursue it. I've been thinking about it myself.

You don't really need to be a notary, but it does come up from time to time. And, since it is so easy to do, and relatively cheap, I recommend it.

There are lots of different agents that you can go through to get your bond and complete your application. This is the one we used: http://www.texasnotary.com/Default.asp?ct=True" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
