I attended the Four States Friends of the NRA banquet Thursday night in Texarkana, AR. I won a Winchester 1300 Defender (wood stock, 18" cylinder choke, 6+1 3", 7+1 2'3/4", 11+1 Aguila Minis). I didn't have a shotgun, and this is the perfect home/campsite/truck gun.
How many of you attend FoNRA events? This was our fourth consecutive banquet, and we look forward to it every year. (Yes, Mrs. Craig looks forward to it just as much as I do!)
I estimate that attending those four banquets has cost us $600-700 in total. In return, we've received at least $250 worth of prime rib dinner and free open bar. I've won the shotgun, a FoNRA commemorative Mauser M2 .45 ACP pistol in a display box, an airline-grade Winchester two-rifle locking case, and a few doo-dads. At least $800-900 worth of guns and "stuff", plus the dinner, fun and fellowship, and the always-entertaining auction.
I'm ahead of the curve, money-wise. Some folks are on the losing side. But every dollar goes to support the NRA Foundation, youth education, and shooting sports.
Find yourself an event, and go!

I attended one when I lived in Kalifornia. I won a salmon fishing trip in the silent auction. My wife bought a nice print in the live auction. I would like to attend more, but they cost me too much money.
