New Rule

A new Rule has just been adopted. Forum members cannot drink alcoholic beverages, party, or be on the roadways between the hours of 7:00 pm on 12/31/06 and 8:00 am 1/1/07. We want to have a full crew with us January 1st!

Seriously folks, please please be careful this New Year's Eve. Every year too many lives are needlessly cut short and families are devastated by the loss of loved ones.

I always wound up working New Years in the military, so now we just stay at home and make some home made goodies and watch the TV. Seems much safer and it's good quality time with the kids.

Happy New Year to all and be safe. Thanks for the reminder ;-)

WE will have a hot dog roast by fire place with all the trimings and then
watch the neighbors shoot off there fire works.

Happy new year everyone.

I will be at Church from 6:00PM until they let me come home. My strong drink will be diet coke and my wife is always my designated driver.

Speaking from someone that is in Law Enforcement, New Year's Eve is generally one of the safer nights to be out. It's the one night of the year that people do get designated drivers.

Our DWI arrest for New Year's Eve has been lower then the average night for the last several years. And that is with several extra officers on the street.

However with that said, I just assume to stay home as well. <G>

We have never made it til Midnight. Usually break up around 10:30 after singing, eating, & fellowship over 42.
Carlson1, if you wont call me before you go to bed, I wont call you when I get up.

I may have to make a late night Ice Cream run so if you see a big red truck coming straight at you, might want to look over your should to make sure you're not blocking the path to Dairy Queen. ;-)

Have a safe new years eve folks. There will be role call Monday morning.

Well, since I'll be working security on the 2000-0400 shift that night, my strong drink will be red chai tea or Dr Pepper, and the only road I'll be on during shift is a private lot.

Considering the last few parties I've been to, I'm not counting it as much of a loss.

I'm visiting the folks in Scottsdale over new years. We'll be drinking a little bit, but we'll be staying at home, watching goofy stuff on TV.

Reservations for dinner at 4:00 p.m. and then it is home with my wife to observe our family tradition of sitting on the front porch untill midnight. We will abide by the new rules of the forum.

Hmmm, that's a good idea. Think I'll bring that up to my preacher so we can do this next year. Sounds like a "lock-in" that youth groups do occassionally, only this one is for US! Woohoo!!
