Cool C-dub. I will have the rifle and even an 18-year old daughter to help her out. My 11 year old son will be there also, though he has commented that he is not thrilled with the idea of barbeque first (McDonald's was his choice of restaurant).

And we will figure out a way for everyone to recognize us at the restaurant. I just don't know what it is yet. I have to stop in Kreuz's one of these days to see how it is laid out (never been there yet). But I was thinking some kind of sign or flag that everyone could see where we were at. Might make it easier than a badge or sash. The tiara would stand out there though.

Everyone could just wear a shirt like this
http://www.cafepress.com/+ccw_white_tshirt,216871877" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

or put on our CHL badges.

I don't know if Hoi would lend out her tiara.

Sorry, I suddenly couldn't remember how to put the image up here this morning.

what is the CHL badge that everyone's talking about?

Anyway, my daughter will also be shooting her Ruger 10/22, so other kids are welcome to shoot it too.

Bump so this idea doesn't get lost.

And an open invitation for anyone to shoot what I bring, including AKs, 1911s, a hi power, and a couple of revolvers.

Though you'd really help my budget if you bring the ammo for it. :rolll (7.62.x9, .45acp, 9mm, .357 and .38)

That is a good idea, 74Novaman.

If you plan on attending, please list what you are bringing that you don't mind sharing. This gives people an idea of what they might want to experiment with and lets them plan on what ammo they need to bring to test things.

And if you don't want to share, that is completely understandable also. I know people who consider their guns and their motorcycles very personal and won't share either. But they would happily loan out other things to friends, so we understand this. You are welcome to come with your guns just for yourself, guns to share, or no guns just for the camaraderie.

But if you could start marking who is coming and how many, we can get an idea of what we are looking at and let the restaurant and range know.

I will be there with my daughter (18) and my son (11). I have a few friends not on the group that I am also inviting and will post how many when they let me know.

I will have a Ruger 10-22, Cricket, and Marlin 15Y rifles (all .22LR). The Marlin and Cricket are youth models, while the 10-22 has a collapsible stock and can fit either kids or adults. I will also have a Taurus 1911 (.45acp ammo), Glock 22C (.40S&W), Browning Buckmaster (.22LR), Ruger P90 (9mm Parabellum), and North American Arms Guardian (.380 acp). You may feel free to try any or all of these, and I recommend the Buckmaster for any kids or beginners who are new to pistols. And if things go well, I will probably have a revolver in .357/38 spl to try also. I am looking for the right one at the right price now.

I plan on being there, subject to the whims of Fate, which have been blowing rather hard lately. As to something to share.. dunno, 74novaman has pretty much covered what I could offer, I'll have my AK, Hi Power, I guess I could also bring the Glock 17 or just for grins a marlin .30-30. Oh, and an SKS.

I don't know anything about the range set up, but I guess I could bring my chronograph too, if you've ever wondered exactly how fast you were sending your money downrange.

Chemist45 and I plan to attend.

Don't know yet what we'll be bringing, but I expect it will be a small variety in .380 and 9mm.

A family obligation I thought I had successfully avoided instead will require my attendance on June 18 :cryin

So - no offense to y'all - but I'm praying for rain so that this gets pushed to the 25th :evil2: .... of course, I'm praying for rain EVERY DAY right now just to get us out of this darn drought.

Anyway, probably wont' see y'all. But have fun, eat some BBQ for me and I'll catch the next one ...

What?! No lady with a tiara? Hoi Polloi is readily available as a point of contact when wearing that during our DFW outings. Very becoming. For identificatioin purposes, we found that those "Hello, my name is.." adhesive stickers worked well at the range. Screen name on top, and your real name (if so desired) below that. We wore them to the restaurant afterwards as well. Probably the safest eatery in the metroplex that day  :fire

I hope ya'll have as good a time as we've had at our get togethers up here. Someone did bring plastic cups to collect change/money for those who let others fire their weapons and didn't have ammo. It all worked out rather well in my humble opinion.

If I were available for your get together I would be tempted to join you, but SWMBO has other plans for me. Something(s) on the honey-do list, I'm sure....

It's looking like I'll probably be in attendance, and hopefully will bring SWMBO, at least one of my kids, and probably my father-in-law, too.

On the gun side, I'll have a Kimber Custom II 1911, Ruger SR9c, Ruger Single-Six convertible (22LR/WMR), a Browning Buck Mark, and maybe a Crickett or Savage Cub (it's pink!).

Looks like I'll be buying some 7.62x39, because I'm anxious to test-drive an AK. Any preference on steel or brass cases, 74novaman or ELB? Also do you mind reloads in the High Power, or would you rather stick to factory ammo?

Looks like this date may work for me. I'm starting a new job that prior Monday and will need to get out to some sort of normalcy!

As for toys, I'll likely have the following:

Springer Micro .45
AR Pistol .223
Ruger LCR .38spcl
Taurus 709 Slim 9mm (my wife's carry weapon)
G23 .40
Mossy 500 12ga

I may find a toy here or there I'll bring out...I just don't want to have to spend 5 hours cleaning.

I'll try to see if Grandma can babysit for us, and if so, I'll have my wife tag along.

Eez AK, eez not bbq gun. Brass, steel, cheep, kostly, korrosive, non-korrosive...AK make all disappear! :fire

Would prefer factory in my HP tho. ;-) Blazer aluminum cases stuff works just fine.

:iagree: my aks will eat anything you put in them. I'd prefer factory for the handguns as well.
