Problems can arise say on Whitney Lake and similar locations where it's legal under State law ... but not under Federal ...

I'm in Central TX, I usually try to not catch fish .... they get the kayak all slimy, then I have to buy another one (kidding ... it's an addictive FUN sport, like collecting guns)

I had no choice but to visit other countries once ... North Dakota, and Florida I think it was, and Louisiana when the border crossing guards weren't looking (big 6 foot gator in the road on I-10 once right at the bridge)

I dont believe bay's would be ACOE waterways, but in the interest of being sure, Trinity Bay, burnett Bay, Crystal Bay, Scott Bay, Black Duck Bay, and Tabbs Bay.

For reference, I'm in Baytown, TX. Where about in central TX are you located?

Near Highland Lakes/ Burnet/Marble Falls ... 11-18 miles from LCRA lakes ... where concealed carry is legal but only 20- 30 miles from forbidden waters I'd like to kayak/fish

The COE has a bit of "say-so" on all lakes as to building docks/piers, draining it to dredge etc ... but the "controlling authority" is what you look at.

ACOE mostly "controls" lakes/ reservoirs, but also some land/water upstream/downstream from "their" lakes/reservoirs too ... but they dunno the exact boundaries.
