This is another dumb criminal thread. Jeffrey Ivarson was driving Melissa Lauman to the Friendswood Municipal Court for an appearance and were stopped for a traffic violation.
Ivarson was arrested for driving with an invalid license. He told the officer that he was out on bail for manufacturing and delivering methamphetamine. When Lauman was interviewed, she admitted she had just smoked methamphetamine. When police searched the car they found drugs including meth, ecstasy, Adderall, Alprazolam and marijuana.

If it weren't so ridiculous, it would be strangely sad. Addiction is such an ugly thing.WildBill wrote:This is another dumb criminal thread. Jeffrey Ivarson was driving Melissa Lauman to the Friendswood Municipal Court for an appearance and were stopped for a traffic violation.

For the curious, Aprazolam is generic Xanax (z bars).

Ug, I hate that stuff, had an old neighbor that was addicted to them. I think he beat it, eventually (he moved away, didn't keep in touch). But it was ugly. I'm sure used in the proper context it may be great (as in - a real prescription by a doctor....).gigag04 wrote:For the curious, Aprazolam is generic Xanax (z bars).

I have heard of Xanax, but "Z Bars" is a new one for me.gigag04 wrote:For the curious, Aprazolam is generic Xanax (z bars).

I still wonder how it works for some things. I had an abscessed tooth, and the doc prescribed Norco for the pain. (In addtion to the antibiotics, obviously.) Between the hot flashes and the motion sickness from it screwing with my equilibrium, I just don't see how anyone could find that pleasant at all. As soon as the tooth got down to a dull ache, I switched to aspirin.sugar land dave wrote:Addiction is such an ugly thing.

People react differently to drugs, depending on the length of time they take them and the dosages. I remember as a young adult I had my wisdom teeth taken out and I would get nauseous if I took codeine. I had all four taken out at once and they really hurt so I had to make the trade off between the pain and the nausea. Now, it doesn't bother me. I know some people it puts them to sleep, but it doesn't even make me drowsy.KD5NRH wrote:I still wonder how it works for some things. The same with alcohol. If I drank as much as some people that I have seen, I would be sick as a dog.
