Houston Police Seek Purple-Shirted Bank Robber

#1

Post by WildBill »

A man walked into the bank, approached a teller and handed her a note that demanded money and also threatened her life. He then lifted his shirt to show her a silver, semi-automatic handgun stuffed into the waist band of his pants. The teller gave the man some money. He was last seen walking away from the bank.

He is described as about 30 years old. He is about 6 feet tall and has a medium build.

A bit vague!! :banghead:

In this day, why do banks have such terrible video quality on their surveillance systems?

And many of the convience stores, too. The only thing I can think of is that they use slow speed tape recorders and they probably have re-used the tape past it's useful life.

Just because it isn't "digital" doesn't make it useless or obsolete. There are probably many units that people haven't replaced or upgraded. Tape is probably still the cheapest option. Also, you don't need good quality video until you get robbed. ;-)

I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.
