Found this site on another forum. Great info on all manufacturers in one place.

Hi JJVP, thank you for posting this. WhichGun.com is a personal project of mine (I'm a web programmer and database administrator) that I just launched on April 15th. I'm glad you enjoyed the site, and hope you and others find it useful.

Hmm... You can't "stack" filters. For example, I just want to see all Subcompact Sig Sauer Semi-Automatic Pistols. How do I do that? I can't click on Subcompact and then SIG Sauer, because then it will just show all SIG Sauer regardless of size.

Right now you can't, but this is something that is definitely on my to-do list. Once I finish the revolvers, rifles, and shotguns sections, and get a few articles posted, I'll be working on an improved filter/search feature.

I've just finished rewriting the filtering and sorting code this evening. It still needs to be properly tested, but I think I've got it, and it should be added to the live site tomorrow. This will allow multiple filtering options, so you can easily find all full-size 9mm Smith & Wesson pistols, all compact .45 ACP Kimber pistols, and so forth. The URL's are going to look like '/firearms/pistols/type:full-size/manufacturer:smith-wesson/caliber:9x19mm', '/firearms/pistols/type:compact/manufacturer:kimber/caliber:45-acp', etc.

I'll post again once this enhancement is live. It will make it so much easier to narrow down your search or find a particular gun.

I wish the L. W. Seecamp .32 and .380 were added to that site.
I used to collect "the smallest gun in each caliber"
A holstered Seecamp in a front pocket is darn near invisible; that would be my "College gun" if campus carry is decriminalized and school policy written to expel Licensees who "LEGALLY carry where a school rule prohibits it." (It's my back up gun now) I know at least 1 moderator here is familiar with Seecamp, as well as some members.

On my to-do list, thanks for the suggestion. I'm not sure why Seecamp pistols are not already in the database -- I contacted them a while back to obtain permission to use photos of their guns on my site, which they granted. Must have just fell through the cracks.

The enhanced filtering/sorting feature is now live. Any filtering option you select will remain until you remove it. If you click on 'Subcompact' pistols, then 'SIG Sauer' pistols, then '.380 ACP' pistols, you will only see all subcompact .380 ACP SIG Sauer pistols. You can remove each filtering option individually using the 'remove filter' links, or can remove all filtering options at once using the 'remove all filters' links at the top of the left column.

If you find any bugs or glitches, or have any other comments or suggestions, please let me know.
