A Killeen woman, 22-year-old Lisa Marie Harrell, claims that she aimed the gun at 15-year-old Austin Taylor McCormick as a joke, thinking that it wasn't loaded and aimed for the wall.

Police have charged 22-year-old Lisa Marie Harrell with manslaughter. She's being held on a $1,000,000 dollar bond.

This seems a bit steep.

yep, $1MM is a lot of money, and even 10% cash/bond would be $100K and still probably a bit much.
But that could be that there is more to the story than just a simple "I thought it was unloaded" and the judge or DA knows more and got a bigger bond.

I am sure that more facts will come to light. The guy who was accused of shooting his uncle during a hog hunt was charged with murder. His bail was $150,000.
