I have been lurking for a while and this looks like a really good forum. It's also nice that it is Texas oriented so I thought I would join.

Welcome stroo. WE do have a lawyer on the board & he is great. He will introduce himself later. There was a DA for a while but he could not stand the heat of truth outside of the court room where he is surrounded w/ baliffs, sheriffs, police, ...
I for one am looking forward to the insite of another shooting lawyer.
Welcome aboard.

I've been out of touch for a few days this week as well. So, welcome to all the new members. Enjoy your stay.

Welcome Stroo. Now I have someone to share the load of all the lawyers jokes. Just kidding; we have a great group and thanks for your PM. I hope you'll encourage the girls and your son to join us.

If lawyer jokes were only limited to this forum!! I am an even more hated corporate lawyer so I don't have expertise in the kind of issues that arise on this kind of forum. Having said that the first case I ever won was a criminal case. However that was also 25 years ago and was the last criminal case I handled.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I will try to hold up my end.

My husband has been a member of this forum for several months now and has been working on me to join. I am warming up to the idea of getting my CHL, so he thought it would be a good idea for me to join and get familiar with the group.

One of the big questions and concerns that I have right now is how I can comfortably learn to carry. I am hoping that this forum will help me out.

Welcome, wrightbrothersmom!

Learning to carry comfortably depends a whole lot on what you are trying to carry, and how you think you want to carry it. Most guys are completely clueless that the holster that works fine for them doesn't work for us. Give us some more info, and we will be glad to help you work through this process.
