More Fake Police in Missouri City

#1

Post by WildBill »

Police are investigating a home invasion burglary in Missouri City in which the suspects posed as police officers. At this time, police do not believe there is a connection between this crime and one that occurred last week in which the suspects wore vests marked 'Police.'

The more of these stories I read / hear of, the less "no knock" warrants make sense to me for anyone involved. I realize that's not what this was, but it certainly makes me more leery about pausing in my home/self defense actions just because someone yells, "Police!" as they break down my door. :???:

...if I were a Chief...my men would raid with marked units...spotlights each car on the other...and the address would be triple-checked...it's a recipe for heartache to do it like a lot of depts. do...we don't need to jeapordize our officers in that manner...in Texas, the home invasions get a different response than "Oh, my!!!" if they're worried about them flushing dope down the drain...block the cleanout and turn the water off...all the cases in the world are not worth an officer getting killed by an innocent homeowner...
