Man Shoots His Partner during Waco Robbery

Waco police reported that two men entered a room at the Lone Star Motel and robbed Samantha Shoaf. She told officers that the two men kicked open the door to her room, assaulted her and pointed a gun at her head. After the robbers took Shoaf’s valuables and left the room, Shoaf said that she heard a gunshot. Later David Means, 17 and Joshua Batey, 17, showed up at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center where emergency room employees discovered Means had been shot in the hand and abdomen. Officers arrested Batey, who they say is Shoaf’s ex-boyfriend, at the hospital. Means was hospitalized.

Me too, but that was then and this is now. Back then, bad agents such as these two were dealt with quite firmly and in a memorable manner the first time they stepped outside the law. As for a lone female in a motel room, what is left to be said?
