OK: Three pizza robberies and one robber too late

#1

Post by seamusTX »

In Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sunday March 20, armed robbers hit three pizza restaurants in one night and apparently made off with a pretty good haul.

In the third location, a robber left through the back door as another robber entered and demanded money. The employees told the second robber they didn't have any money because they had just been robbed.

These episode illustrate (1) the management of these establishments really don't care if they are robbed. The cost of security and good cash management is more than robbers making off with one day's proceeds every now and then. (2) They value the lives of their employees no more than the cash.

One of the reason that "pizza joints" are probably a prime target because they do more cash transactions than most.

This caught my attention
In all three of the armed robberies, the robbers entered the store and “politely” forced an employee to open a register and a safe, Walker said.
The robbers must have had a proper upbringing and had good parents who taught them to say "please." ;-)

If robbers quietly announce a robbery and demand money, they stand a chance of being in and out before anyone calls the cops.

The thugs who overdose on violent hip-hop videos and come in yelling obscenities and shooting into the ceiling draw too much attention to themselves.

thats so true. Being polite and respectfull when you rob the joint may have a better pay off.

That just proves my point that they had "good upbringing."

I worked at a place early in my career that was robbed...the robbers did it politely and nobody knew until the person who gave them the money came running to tell us.

Sure. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice University.

The graduate school is in Huntsville.

This episode is evidence of a failing economy. The number of bank robberies for example, in Austin, Dallas and Houston are at a ten year high.

We have not yet seen the bottom of the economic down turn and the robbers are already bumping into each other.
