Crazy Road Rage

You never know what will set someone off. Sometimes you're just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Glad the woman is OK but it reinforces the idea of being armed at all times, especially when driving.

Police said Williams has a lengthy criminal history in four states.
Hmmm... 22 years old with a lengthy criminal history in four States. It sounds like she is another pillar of the community and that this road rage incident is just the type of the iceberg, so to speak.

This is why you always lock your car doors, and why auto-unlock when you put the car into park is a bad idea (not sure if that's the case here, but it could happen).

Additionally, how many people smile in their booking photos?

It was more of a rhetorical question, but seamusTX actually sent me a link to a website that contains public mugshots, and it's kinda sad/funny

(Apparently the site also contains profanity, so I can't link to it.)

There are a good number of them that have devilish smiles or make "funny" faces. I pray for humanity.

In NH you don't have to travel very far to get to 3 other states. Vermont on the west, Taxachussetts on the south and Maine on the east.
I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on.
I don't do those things to other people and I require the same of them.

I just had an "almost" road rage incident last night. Suffice to say it ended okay, but the adrenaline was pumping for a few minutes. People are nuts.

Too many people think a car is a Halloween costume and no one will know who ran you off the road or shot you. I have noticed an increase in the number of aggressive drivers in the DFW metro area. I try to stay off their radar and let them pass, but I had a guy get mad at me a couple months back and he pursued me across some lanes threatening to "bump" into the side of my truck. Never did know what set him off. I just kept giving ground in a non threatening way and he gave up. It does get your heart rate up. As tempting as it was to give him the salute, I just kept in mind he may be my worst nightmare if I did and I certainly did not want it to look like I did not de-escalate the situation while armed.

I've had those, too. I had one "lady' nearly run into the side of me while texting and driving and then she took offense to my tapping my horn at her to get her attention. She tried hard to run us off the road afterward. I'm not sure what is going through the minds of people who do this. It is unfortunate that most PDs cannot respond to these kinds of situations. Our daughter is a police dispatcher and she reports that they can get to about only 10% of the 911 calls that they get from drivers because of road rage, drunk driving, etc. incidents.
