Fort Worth Gun Show...

#1

Post by The Annoyed Man »

I was there all afternoon long today. I went with my son and his fiancé. She bought her first pistol - a Kimber Pro Carry II. She has shot all of our guns and likes the 1911s the best, so it was get her one of her own, or my son was going to lose one of his.

My son also bought two stripped AR lowers and two AR lower parts kits from the SOG Armory booth. I bought one of each for myself. (It's time to build the wife her own AR...) They had JD lowers there for $99.00, and the SOG lowers for $109.00. The parts kits were $69.95 each.

I also got myself a new belt, not a gun belt... just a regular belt. And I bought a new CRKT knife the M21-14DSFG model:

I did not go, but it sounds like you had a great day TAM. Very nice little knife.

I will be going tomorrow as well. Will be looking for a bipod for my daughters 10/22 that we bought at the Irving show.

Who did you buy it from? My son's girlfriend bought her Pro Carry II from S.A.W., and they had a couple of "loaded" models on display. I own one myself. In fact, I was carrying it today. I really like that gun. You done good.

I got it from S.A.W also after an hour long wait. I thought $735 was pretty decent for the stainless??

Yeah, that was a pretty good price. My son was looking at the exact same gun that you bought for himself, but he really came to buy some new AR parts, so he didn't buy it. That worked out pretty well for you, didn't it?

We must have gotten there after you then. When we were there, Don told. Us that these were the last three that he had. He'd sold all the others. There was a stainless Loaded, a Parkerized Loaded, and a Parkerized Target Master, which is just a Loaded model with target sights added.

I went looking for some Mosin Nagants to add to the collection. I had my local gun dealer trying to get me a Mil Spec but couldn't ever get one so I jumped on this one.

I went to the Irving Show, but was not able to go to the Ft. Worth Show. I did see some very nice looking Kimbers over close to the far wall. Thought about it, but still can't afford one.
