San Antonio: Defender shoots vehicle burglars

#1

Post by seamusTX »

In San Antonio early this morning a resident found three men breaking into his brother's pickup truck in the 2900 block of West Commerce Street. The defender confronted the alleged burglars. When one of the alleged burglars allegedly pointed something that looked like a weapon, the defender shot the man.

The man who was shot is in a hospital. Two other "teens" have been arrested.

Police said the defender was unlikely to be charged.

But vehicles are a great place to store guns. Educated college people said so.

One of them turned and pointed “an object which (the resident) thought was a gun,” and was hit seven times when the resident fired, the report states.
I guess that's a good illustration of "anything worth shooting is worth shooting again; bullets are cheap, and there's not any more paperwork for the extra shots."

My guess is the defender shot his pistol dry. That happens.

Different stories say the alleged burglar was struck three times and is in the hospital (not the morgue).
