I just voted and it's 59% Yes to 41% No.

60/40 yes
The quotes are just dumb. Guns are already on campus legally and in campus buildings illegally. Maybe those people think there's no dope on campus or in dorms because it's illegal, like the law is some magic shield or something.

60% is yes now. :) The power of a forum to bring intelligent individuals to vote on an anti-gun journalist's article.
Re: Poll Univ North Texas
Just voted yes. Went to a UNT for 2 years (through TAMS program for anyone familiar with UNT) and it is a relatively liberal environment. I now go to A&M so most places "relative" to A&M seem liberal but people at UNT don't seem as passionate about issues such as this. Also, it is known more for its liberal arts programs which attract those type of people that aren't necessarily pro-gun, but a lot of this is because they are misinformed.

When did you go to TAMS? My son was in TAMS class of 2009, he's at UTD now.

The group on this forum are just plain awesome.geekwagun wrote: I voted last night, was 60% yes/40% no then..
In the grander scheme of things, this poll probably doesn't mean anything but anytime we can leave an artifact or two lying around that says "don't mess with 2nd amendment folks", I think it is a good thing. We (me included big time) have probably allowed stuff like this to go unchallenged in the past. I honestly didn't think it was worth my time. I know different now. There should be no such thing as an Liberal who hasn't been challenged.

Well, some say polls are a waste of time, but the Brady Bunch does like to use polls to ostensibly justify themselves, so I see it as not lending them credibility by inaction. Rather make them find "facts" instead of polls which reflect "feelings"chasfm11 wrote:The group on this forum are just plain awesome.geekwagun wrote: I voted last night, was 60% yes/40% no then..
