I wrote a short letter to Larry last week and was waiting to hear from him. Today I spoke with Larry's wife and she informed me that Larry passed away yesterday. She asked me to pass this information on to the forum members. Please keep his wife and family in your prayers.

Well, that's a road we will all travel. In this case, it appears to have been a short journey to a better place.

10 days! and the man was gone? Insurance no insurance the guy should have been treated and had not to wait till 2/11 for Chemo. Too sad.

Larry Ray Bruns (1952-2011)

ODESSA -- Larry Ray Bruns, age 58, departed this earth Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, in Odessa.
Larry was a very loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was a Concealed Handgun License Instructor, avid golfer, and Eagle Scout attaining the rank of Vigil in the Order of the Arrow. Larry was employed by Ridgewood Cable and absolutely loved his work and the people he worked with and for. He was brought into this world on March 18, 1952, and the world has never been the same, since. He was married to Janet Burk on December 21, 1995, in Lovington, NM.
Larry is survived by his wife, Janet; mother Ruby Bruns of Big Spring, TX; brother Curtis Bruns of Big Spring, TX; children Gina Lindsey and Mike Lee, both of Abilene, TX as well as Jimmy Lee of El Paso, TX; grandchildren Paul Lee of Midland, TX, David, Nate and Madison Lee of Abilene, TX, and Jody Gardner and Peyton Lindsey of Abilene, TX; one niece; one grand-nephew; numerous cousins; and loving in-laws.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 6801 E. Business 20, Odessa, TX.
