Any opinions on this gun (Sig P250 Subcompact)? Is it worth spending money on?

I personally love Sig, however I don't find this pistol appealing. They just don't feel right. Although don't ever let anyone steer you away from your own opinions. Take one out to the range and have at it. A lot of ranges rent out their pistols to anyone. Call around. If you want some reviews from the net, then Google is your best friend. :fire

I think some guys here have a 250. For me though.. eeh.. Then again, I'm a bit of a snob. :)

Although I don't own a compact my wife and I have a P250 compact chambered in 9 and 40.
With that said we love both. Don't have time now for specifics but I will pm you with my phone number.

Yeah, I need to call and see which range has this pistol available.

Thanks, I appreciate that offer...I've been looking at this pistol 1) 9mm is cheaper than .40 for target practice and 2) its thinner than my Glocks. Easier to conceal.

what is the point to have trigger group resuable with different slide/barrel and frame?

Just have more pistols, each would be 100% operational and usuable.

The gun is supposed to be flexible to meet the criteria of different agency's and to provide multiple calipers and sizes cheaper than buying two weapons.
The price of the gun dropped alot and the conversion kits did not so you are right, just buy two guns.

I have a P250 compact with close to 15k rounds through it. It is an always own handgun for me, I have loaned it to people to try and a few have borrowed it for the CHL shooting test, they all liked it very much. The trigger is smooth as glass although some will say it is too long, I have no issue with it as I prefer DAO triggers on all my handguns. We have sold many P250 compacts and sub-compacts without a single complaint. The price reduction is because Sig started making the some of the P250 models with standard sights, previously they all had night sights. Spring for the extra cash if you can and get the night sights, you will not be sorry. Sig claimed that the market place requested a non-night sight version.... Personally I think it is a great carry gun as well as a training and practice gun. The DAO trigger makes people concentrate more to on the pull and the sights which relates to a proper grip, trigger control and concentration. Once a person has mastered a DAO trigger they can shoot anything, not the same in reverse.....

Very nice pistol, with a really good DAO trigger. If you like a DAO, you will love this one, if you don't like DAO move along. I have about 1800 rounds down mine with no issue.

I too am considering this gun as a primary carry, it is nice to read some posts on it from real encounters and not just some gun writer giving his "50rd review" if you know what I mean. my main issue is the "one magazine with this purchase" issue, who only uses one magazine?!?! really?!?!?!

thanks for all of the info around here, on this and many other topics :txflag:

Just make sure you can get the holster you want with this gun, not a lot of holsters out there to fit this gun.

One of my sons bought one recently. We both shot it shortly after. My impressions are as follows: Very smooth trigger. Long (DAO) but smooth. Very accurate. Not as small as other subcompacts, but smaller than my CZ-75D (Compact). Feels a little top heavy when handling, but we both commented how it had less muzzle flip than we expected and how well balanced it felt when actually firing. Overall we were both impressed. It is now my son's normal carry piece.
