Chuck E Cheese in San Antonio is posted.

The kids really wanted to go there yesterday, and I had only been there once before. That was before I ever entertained the thought of CHL. This is the location on Bandera and Loop 1604 near Helotes.

I checked the 30.06 website, and saw no mention of it, so I proceeded happily. Walked in the door with the wife, and she pointed out the sign to me. It was about 3' square, with english and spanish wording that appeared to be correct. I'm 6'3 and had to look UP to notice it!

I was expecting a sticker on the door, or the typical gunbuster sign.

Since backing out at that point would have caused a meltdown with the kids, I retreated to the truck to "plug in my cell phone"... :banghead:

Kind of a shame, as we all had fun there. I submitted a listing to the 30.06 website.

I can't help but wonder if some CHL's letter caused/helped this to happen. I sincerely hope that a memo isn't going out to all the locations from corporate instructing them to and how to make their signs compliant.

I sincerely worry that compliant signs might start popping up everywhere once business owners learn that their signs need to be posted in a specific way. Let's not help the other side.

As soon as you open the outer doors, it's in that little lobby before the second set of doors to get in. You'd miss it if you weren't looking for it, most people probably just rush through both sets of doors. I know, I almost did!

Gunbuuster, non-compliant 30.06, compliant 30.06, or verbal---it all represents the same thing: "We don't want your kind around here," an order with which I am all too happy to comply.

Are there really so few retail establishments in Phlugerville that you feel compelled to hand over your hard-earned money to those that have told you in no uncertain terms that they don't want or need your business?

Look again, you may have missed Enbalmo's very pertinent point/question? A question much debated in many previous posts.

It wasn't that many years ago that no one could carry legal anywhere and now we're back to square one as far as that Chuck E. Cheese is concerned. I don't care about anyone's opinion about guns; I care about legally protecting myself and my family and now we've got one Chuck E. Cheese that won't let us do that anymore.

There are actually some folks here that applaud that we have one less place that we can carry with possibly many more to come. Their attitude is, "Well we don't like ant-gun people anyway, so we're glad that no CHL can now legally carry in their establishment." Well let me offer this up: score one big victory for antis, there is one more "gun free zone"; and the worst part is that it might have been a CHL that made it happen.

Here is one for you - it used to be a gun buster sign, until a CHL holder threatened to take their business elsewhere. Now it is a proud 2A supporting business.

If that's truly your motivation, then alleviating your concerns about protecting yourself and your family would seem quite elementary: Don't go there, go somewhere else.

First of all, I doubt that story; but what if it's true, a gunbuster sign doesn't mean anything to a CHL. So nothing was gained (if the story is true).

So you're happy to stop going to your favorite restaurants? Start going to a Dr. that is out of out of network (and out of town)? You wanna' keep your kids out of any after school programs or YMCA? You want to tell your kids, "No Chuck E. Cheese." If a democrat gets elected as governor do you want it to be illegal to carry at the capital because the guy (or girl) doesn't want you to carry there?

If you want to become a hermit, that is your choice, but don't go around screwing it up for everyone else.

As mentioned previously, I simply don't spend my money anywhere that I am specifically informed that my business is not appreciated. Any restaurant that would have me disarm before walking through its doors is no favorite of mine. I don't feel deprived at all.

See above about spending my hard-earned money. (And, I might add, with only one or two doctors available withing easy driving distance, Phlugerville must be much smaller than I thought.)

So which is it, do you want yo keep your family safe or not? We all have choices to make. And, for what it's worth, I had no problems teaching my children the meaning of the word "no."

Not in my lifetime.

I suppose I'm just one of those people who is satisfied with the choices I have available to me, which, quite honestly, is far more than I need, but does afford me the luxury of deciding where I get to spend my money.

If I want to keep my family Dr. and shop where I please and carry a weapon to protect my family, why would you want to stop me. All I'm asking is that people STOP informing businesses like this one to make their anti-gun sign compliant. If you don't like Chuck E. Cheese please just stop going there and please don't screw it up for the rest of us. And please-It's spelled Pflugerville.
