More blame being put one everything but the gunman

People are not only threatening the Tea Party but blaming them, Sarah Palin and other Republicans for the Tucson shooting.

It seems that it is everyone's fault except the gunman and the Democrats. What sense does that make? How can people actually think like that and believe it? How can you blame anyone or anything other than the person that actually committed the crime?

He told The New York Times last week that he had trouble sleeping after he was wounded and repeatedly denounced the "Tea Party crime syndicate" in the interview. He said he placed some of the blame for the shooting on former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and other Republican leaders for creating a toxic atmosphere. Palin has denounced the attack, which does not appear to have been motivated by politics.

These accusations — that political actors contributed to the murder of 6 people, including a 9-year-old girl — are extremely grave. They were made despite the fact that there was, and is, no evidence that Loughner was part of these movements or a consumer of their literature. They were made despite the fact that the link between political rhetoric and actual violence is extremely murky. They were vicious charges made by people who claimed to be criticizing viciousness.

Yet such is the state of things. We have a news media that is psychologically ill informed but politically inflamed, so it naturally leans toward political explanations. We have a news media with a strong distaste for Sarah Palin and the Tea Party movement, and this seemed like a golden opportunity to tarnish them. We have a segmented news media, so there is nobody in most newsrooms to stand apart from the prevailing assumptions. We have a news media market in which the rewards go to anybody who can stroke the audience’s pleasure buttons.

Yep, I was comment/discussing things today with an army vet, who started out ok with guns, no one needs a 33 round mag, and had a rational discussion, left at he's ok with whatever anyone has, if they aren't a wacko schizophrenic on drugs .... then the next "conversation" I had was with an anti-gun, anti "clip" guy calling me a liar after I showed him documentation of my cousin's murder, and he started acting as wild, made no sense and ranted same as Jared, like an anti-gun... radical left wing wacko schizophrenic on drugs ...

So, don't try to educate a pig, it's a waste of time, and annoys the pig.
I enjoyed the earlier rational thinker conversation though.
