A little late to the party, but: I regularly carry all day around the house. I telecommute, so I'm home alone all day. Hubby doesn't like the idea of me being unarmed and alone. So, for ease and comfort, I strap on a fanny pack with my favorite firearm. Makes hubby happy, and it is kind of comforting to me - should some BG decide to break in (doors are kept locked, even though we live in a "safe" area in the boonies), I don't have to worry about which room I'm in and which one the gun is in, because it's always right there.

WOW  I never really thought about a lake being off limits to CHL carrier. Does that mean if I take my family on vacation to Tyler state park and go fishing that I cant carry?
I specifically asked my chl instructor if I could carry at a state park and he said yes. Are the lakes at those parks off limits?
