Chucky Cheese in Allen, TX is posted 30.06

I had to take my son to BP at ChuckyC in Allen, TX, the entrance is posted with correct 30.06 notice in Eng and Sp but letter size could be less than 1".

It was an inconvenience to go back to my car and leave my pistol in my car. My boy skipped the BP and enjoyed playing. :hurry:

Please post on texas3006.com too.
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.

RATS and Double RATS!

Mrs. Oldgringo and I both have birthdays next month. I guess we'll have to go to Sam's Club and have the kosher Hot Dog Special...again.

Really!! That stinks. I carry at the one in Grapevine because all they have is a generic "weapons prohibited" sign. I haven't been in a couple months. What is it about Collin County/Plano/Allen these days...? I have heard that certain local government officials are telling businesses to post 30.06...

someone has to send them a letter, 30.06 means business would go somewhere else. I do not imagine a gun relate incident happened in those places. Last year there was no 30.06 sign at that business. I will not take my kids to that place again.

And, all the more reason to carry there are these:

I was living in the same neighborhood in Aurora, CO, when the 2nd incident listed above happened. He really shot up the place. The citizens were so upset over it that the place didn't open up again for a year.

Oh, no I was agreeing with you. I understood your point, and my point is they SHOULDN'T post it due to those previous (and even recent) events.

If the sign is the same as the one in Chucky Cheese-Hurst, the letters are definitely not 1" in height. The letters were closer to 1/2" in height. You can ignore the sign. I chose not to say anything to management, because they would just correct the sign.

It kind of makes you wonder why someone would go to the trouble of posting the exact language, but not getting all of the requirements correct? Was their reading comprehension of 30.06 just below adequate? If so, my compliance with the sign will also be just below adequate! :tiphat:

I've asked that question, in the past, about other non-compliant signs. My favourite answer was that there are lots of RKBA supporters working in sign factories.

That sounds like the same sign that is on ETMC facilities around east Texas. The wording is correct but the letters are closer to 3/4" than one (1) inch in height. While the sign may be a bit on the iffy side, the intent is crystal clear. We don't use ETMC for our medical needs.

I visit the one in Garland somewhat frequently and there was not one there at the beginning of December.

Hey beiruty,

Where is the sign posted? I stopped by Wed. Morning early(7am) as I was in the parking lot doing business and couldn't see anything posted on the door. It was low light, but I couldn't see any 30.06 sign?
Thanks

I'm never setting foot in a Chuck E' Cheese again.

Not only they ban CHL but I walked in with my kids and brought some of my own food. The food they serve the is crap and I eat healthy. They would not let me in with it even though I was about to buy foot for my boys and have them play. Screw that.

As for the 30.06 sign, I'm pretty sure it's not the right size. The whole sign is maybe 14"x12". See below.

Image

Inside they have a smaller sign that says that guns are prohibited even on the parking lot.

I was seriously about to leave but I promised my boys that I will take them. I sat on the grass outside and had my lunch then took them in for the last time out of my own free will.
