It's nice to see that he and his wife had a plan. She rushed the kids
to safety inside their home, while her husband engaged the robbers.
No mention was made of what the homeowner was shooting (handgun
obviously since he was just coming home from the mall).
I find it interesting that he did not hit any of the robbers but he did
puncture the gas tank on their red Ford Mustang, disabling it, and
causing 2 of the men to flee on foot. One man was seen running away
by neighbors, who called LEO's attention to him.
The intended victim and a neighbor held one of the men right there at
the scene.
This sounds like another case of robbers making a significant error
in the victim selection process. They didn't understand that a family
that lives in a nice area, probably has a nice vehicle, and the ability
to buy a new PC, just might have enough money and sense to buy a
nice handgun too!! :-)
