Dunno. Depends on the layout of the room, where the BGs were and whether or not they were facing me, what's past the BGs. I mean, if they're all grouped together in front of the safe's door staring intently at the lock, you could probably take a few second to aim at the first's head and hit the second's COM somewhere before the third has time to turn around. And if the layout is such that you can do it from behind cover, the third BG might not even see you in time to do anything.

Really, though, I'd probably be too busy trying to stay alive to have time to plan anything, and too scared to pull it off even if I did.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I got in really late last night and I just woke up and I haven't had breakfast or my coffee yet. :yawn
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

That would have made the situation inside the bank a one-on-one shooting scenario. However, we don't know what things were like inside the bank. Maybe engaging the bad guy would have only made things worse.
IMO, once they've shown they're willing to shoot it out with the cops, any of them coming back in get shot. It's going to be a hostage situation at that point, and they're not scared to pull a trigger. I don't care to take the chance of being the first one executed to let the cops know they're not happy with the negotiations.

Besides, the last thing they'll expect during the retreat is to start taking fire from their "safe" area. It might well be the last opportunity to catch them that far off guard.

I though I read they got everyone.

My reason for being in this forum is I got my CHL after I was at my local bank when two masked men ran in.

My robbers were practiced professionals. These guys were amateurs, which is why they got caught. That and bad luck. Supposedly a citizen saw them run into the bank wearing masks and called the police. That is one of the reasons the police were at the scene so quickly.

My robbers were the quick snatch and grab kind of guys. They had cased the bank apparently a few days before and also knew there was a back door.

If these guys had left by the back door (I betcha there was a back door) they would have also done better. Since the bank manager refused to open the cash vault it took longer while they beat him. My robbers just took the money that was in the teller drawers, they were gone in 30 seconds. Their getaway car was also parked in back waiting for them.

My bad guys were covered head to toe with loose fitting clothes, even gloves and scarves covering their necks (we suspect they had tats everywhere) all the extra clothes were discarded along with the dye packs and radio transmitters once they left from the back.

I only got alarmed when I heard the women screaming, I felt very helpless at that point, but then they were gone and it was over as quick as it started.

I realize I was lucky. These poor people, although they were not hurt except the brave branch manager, will carry these emotional scars for a long time. Its one thing to have a gun pointed at you and know they are not after you and its totally another to survive being a hostage with your mind imagining all kinds of horrible situations. And then when you think it is over, it really isn't as the police don't really know your not a bad guy.

I still don't feel as safe anywhere as I once did. You realize that the calm life you live can change in an instant.

How come them other guys didn't get cool nicknames? :headscratch

BTW, Mr. Beagle is way too old for this game. When he gets out of the gray bar hotel, he'll be too old to work and not eligible for Social Security.
