In Mountain Home, Arkansas, a 38-year-old woman was charged first-degree murder for allegedly fatally shooting her boyfriend. She said the deceased dared her to shoot.

Tragically pitiful. One less swimmer in the shallow end of the gene pool.

Speaking of Gene Pool, that actually does sound sorta like an "only in Arkansas" (or hills of Kentucky etc) type news

Sounds like a pretty lame excuse to me but admittedly I don't know any of the details.

If this story is accurate, it's even more bizarre.
The alleged homicide occurred late on Thanksgiving day or early the morning after.
The accused woman reportedly went to work the next day and told a coworker that her boyfriend had committed suicide. The coworker called the police, who got a warrant and processed the scene.
The woman was then arrested for murder.

People get nuts in domestic disputes on holidays. People who don't really like each other are forced together and drink too much. I've seen it in the news many times.
