NRA First Vice President John Sigler is up for re-election in 2006. I have worked closely with John since my first election to the NRA Board and I have come to respect him greatly. No one works harder or puts in more volunteer hours. During the 2004 Presidential campaign, John was away from home every weekend for almost a year making speeches, attending fund raisers and get-out-the-vote rallies, etc. for Bush and other pro-gun candidates.
I am circulating petitions for his nomination for re-election and I would greatly appreciate it if any of you NRA voting members would sign John's petition. If you would like to sign the petition, please send me a PM with your address and I'll mail a copy to you for signature, along with a self-addressed return envelope. I will send blank petitions, as I don't want to risk losing a bunch of signatures if it gets lost in the mail coming or going.
Thanks in advance,
Chas.

Good Man
I too know John personally. He is a U. S. Navy veteran. We served on the same submarine. He and I are members of boat's crew association, with John as a board member. Chas, I will support your petition.

This is a related question...I recently joined both the NRA and the TSRA. I did this because I wanted to give money to an organization that supports and defends our 2nd amendment rights. As a member (paying yearly) does that make me a 'voting member'? Or is that reserved for long term members or maybe lifetime members?
