Traders Village
Traders Village flea market says on their website that guns and ammo sales aren't allowed. However, does anyone know if they're 30.06 posted? I don't know that part of town as I usually don't go to Grand Prairie, so I'd like to carry, but I don't want to carry if I'm going to have to leave the gun in the car and have it stolen. Thanks.
Re: Traders Village
It has been a while since I have been out there, but I honestly don't remember if they are legally posted or not.

Re: Traders Village
I believe they are posted right on the controlled access cabanas where they take your money to get in. Big signs. Size and language are correct, but I have not checked the verbage. Their intent is quite obvious as it is. Regarding theft in the parking lot, I have never seen security roaming around there. At all. Lock everything out of sight. Period.
Re: Traders Village
if they are 30.06 posted at the front gate, then even leaving your gun in the car is illegal. that's it. i'm not going.lonewolf wrote:I believe they are posted right on the controlled access cabanas where they take your money to get in.
Re: Traders Village
The signage is correctly posted, with the correct letter size and verbage as required by State law, at all Traders Village locations. Firearms are not allowed on the property, either concealed or otherwise.

Re: Traders Village
maybe that's why they have such a high crime rate over there is because CHL holders CAN'T carry in there. Typical. If places would only let CHL carry, this world would be a lot better of..

Re: Traders Village
There are three of them: Grand Prairie, northwest Houston, and a new one in San Antonio. So we're not talking about a single place.WildBill wrote:I have never been there. Re: Traders Village
I remember years ago when you could buy guns/ammo at the one in Grand Prairie. I also remember years ago where I believe a LEO was arrested for selling weapons from the evidence room of his department there. It wasn't long after that all the gun stores disappeared......
Re: Traders Village
Well I stand corrected, it's not the first time I have been wrong and surely won't be the last. My apologies... I surely will not return there as it has been a while since I have been there and I guess I didn't notice when I was.

Re: Traders Village
Yes, they have a vey high crime rate. Cars are either broken into or stolen from the parking lot on a regular basis. I won't go there anymore.

Re: Traders Village
For my own part, I've lived this long without ever being aware of their existence. I'm pretty sure I can keep going on just fine.drjoker wrote:if they are 30.06 posted at the front gate, then even leaving your gun in the car is illegal. that's it. i'm not going.lonewolf wrote:I believe they are posted right on the controlled access cabanas where they take your money to get in.
