Good day at Winchester

#1

Post by lonewolf »

Another good Day a the Range. Spent a couple of hours at Winchester on Saturday, not crowded, from noon til about 2. 250 rounds through little Beretta 92G, gun still shoots better than me. Was in the 5 bay area and two guys come in with a young lady who had never shot. She shot their Ruger 9mm, and was eyeing my Beretta. I let her shoot it, of course. She had obviously been well lectured by the gentlemen she was with and had pretty nice groups at 21 feet. They said jokingly that they had brought "too many guns" and would I like to put a few rounds downrange in some of theirs. Couldn't pass up the offer, now could I? Never fired a Python .357 before. What a sweet gun! Made my Beretta feel like a BB gun! Definitely hang on the Beretta for carry, though. The hand cannon might be a bit much to conceal. I didn't take them up on the offer to shoot anything else as I had to leave. Staff was courteous, as always.

I'm a member at Winchester and was going several times a week until the heat became unbearable. How was the range at that time of day Saturday? I need to shoot my new carbines.

The pistol range I was at was a little warm, but it was not too bad. Probably had a lot to do with the fact they weren't that busy....
