Re: CHL holder killed by police in Las Vegas at a Costco
I've been searching for a while now and can't find an article I read a few weeks ago. It was about the likely hood or unlikely hood of being able to identify which bullet came from which gun if each gun was the same model and they all used the same ammunition. I know it's probably a moot point, but if this is true and if these officers did have the same models and the same ammunition they may not be able to tell who allegedly shot Eric in the back on the ground.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

I believe Excaliber answered that question. IMO, if the bullets are intact (with their jackets) and not totally distorted, a forensic lab will be able to match them up with the exact gun. It may not be a moot point, depending on who shot the man after he was face down on the pavement.C-dub wrote:I've been searching for a while now and can't find an article I read a few weeks ago. It puzzles me is that only one gun was mentioned, which Erik Scott carried IWB. Previous versions of the story report two handguns.philip964 wrote:Latest news report with Erik Scott's attorney.

Also, I am wondering about the so-called "irratic behavior" of Erik Scott. It doesn't see to be on the 911 call and they have no witnesses that reported any behavior out of the ordinary. Where and when did this information appear?

Hmmmm? Let's see, can you spell c-o-v-e-r-u-p? Certainly, neither the police nor the casinos nor any other tourist driven endeavor in Las Vegas want this shameful act publicized.WildBill wrote:Another point that puzzles me is that there was the mention of only one gun, in Erik Scott's carried IWB. The LVPD would never participate in a c-o-v-e-r-u-p. That would be against the law!Oldgringo wrote:Hmmmm? Let's see, can you spell c-o-v-e-r-u-p? This case has gotten very little coverage outside Las Vegas and the "gun boards." The vast majority couldn't care less.

I wish I lived there, I would go! The officers who murdered him should be off the police force at the least. This guy didn't do anything to warrant the killing. If there is a god in heaven, and I really want to believe there is, he will see to it that those murderers never sleep another peaceful night for the remainder of their lives.seniorshooteress wrote:Candle light vigil for Erik Scott August 10th outside the Costco store. I am about sick of playing this game.... they straight up murdered an innocent man. that could be any one of us who posts on this forum. Think about it folks. If Erik had done anything remotely wrong, the tapes would never have stopped running about it. What happened was a bunch of attention starved morons working at Costco made the cops think something was going on that wasn't. Then the cops decided to execute a human instead of allowing the judicial process take place.baldeagle wrote:There's a whole lot about this case that is puzzling.WildBill wrote:It puzzles me is that only one gun was mentioned, which Erik Scott carried IWB. Until they produce the video tapes that show otherwise (which I don't believe they ever can or will), I have to presume Erik Scott was the innocent one and the cops executed him. I know the cops are presumed innocent but I want to put that presumption on Erik at this time after waiting weeks for some evidence that he was in the wrong. "There, but for the grace of God, go I" to my grave at the hand of trigger-happy cops.03Lightningrocks wrote:I am about sick of playing this game.... they straight up murdered an innocent man. that could be any one of us who posts on this forum. And I agree with you - I'd be at that vigil if I was in Las Vegas. But then you know I would not go to Las Vegas and neither would the friend of mine who likeness I use.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Isn't an insult and salt to the injury to no have a formal inquist, independent investigation, fact finding, internal affairs, FBI solve this case. Where is the accountability of LV Metro?

Re: CHL holder killed by police in Las Vegas at a Costco
I listened to the complete LV police scanner tape last night. There was voice traffic by some officer reporting that the manager (or management type person) said that Scott was behaving erratically. There was also a report on the tape that some management type in the store was on a land-line with the police describing where Scott was, and descriptions of him and his girlfriend. Voice traffic also states several time he had a 413 (firearm) tucked in the back of his pants.WildBill wrote:It puzzles me is that only one gun was mentioned, which Erik Scott carried IWB. What shocks me no end is how casually the ambulance was summoned. I did not time how long it was between "shots fired" and the ambulance showed up...but it was w-a-a-y too long. This in spite of the fact that the police had requested a medical unit to be on standby either across the street or within a block of Costco.
Then there is the shocking report from the scene that the subject is in custody! Again this was over 5 minutes after "shots fired".
You have to take the time to listen to the whole thing.

Re: CHL holder killed by police in Las Vegas at a Costco
I had trouble making heads or tails of those recordings. Thanks for posting them. I would love to see the written version of those tapes. I don't know what all the codes mean, but it sounded to me like some clown that works at Costco was way over exagerating the behavior of Eric. I suppose there are no videos of his eractic behavior? No videos of him pulling a gun on the cops? Who are we kidding here. The crooked LV cops are going to get away with killing this guy in cold blood. Sad part is, if he were black, the whole darned country would be screaming for justice. Kill a white guy in cold blood... no problemo! Makes me sick!
